Love it, or hate it, Charlie’s Angels is coming back.
Annie Ngasi Ilonzeh, a 27-year-old native of Grapevine, Texas, is now one of the newest Charlie’s Angels.
Produced by Sony TV, the new Charlie’s is a reboot of the original series which aired from 1976-1981, and starred Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Farrah Fawcett (another native Texan), and numerous actresses who came along to replace them through the years: Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, and Tanya Roberts.
Ms. Ilonzeh will play the role of Kate, an ex-cop with martial arts skills. Also starring with her is Ms. Rachel Taylor (the “youngest and sassiest of the Angels”) and Ms. Minka Kelly (Marisa, a former Marine and weapons expert.) [SOURCE]
Ms. Ilonzeh is most known for her role as Maya Ward on the soap opera, General Hospital. She also has had other roles in TV sitsoms, most notably Melrose Place, and How I Met Your Mother. Her film roles include He’s Just Not That Into You and Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
Robert Wagner is slated to play the role of Charlie.
No word yet on who will play Bosley.
