Many of us can recite a few names for animal groups, most notably the very well-known:
-A pride of lions:
A school (or shoal) of fish:
An army of herring:
Or a flock of chickens:
But, do you know the name for a group of rattlesnakes? How about a group of hedgehogs, or apes or elk?
Starting today, I will post some names of animal groups. In addition to animals, I will also list invertebrates as well.
Just as fascinating as the animals are, their names are even more interesting, with many of the names evoking a physiological or psychological/philosophical reason behind why the animal groups are thus named.

A flange, troop of baboons:
A culture of bacteria:
A cete, colony, set, company of badgers:
A battery of barracudas:
