ONCE A COWARD. . . .ALWAYS A COWARD

Well, President Obama.

Once a coward. . . .always a coward.

Your high rating of 5 with me, just plummeted down to a rating of 1.

Then again, your mealy-mouthed/wishy-washy/gutless/spineless response to Attorney General Eric Holder does not surprise me.

You threw Rev. Jeremiah Wright under the bus, so this act of doing the same to Atty. General Holder is just more of your talking out your ass, and being fearful of what the rest of the country will think of you….especially your masters, the lobbyists/special interest groups/cabinet members you have to answer to.

One of the reasons I did not vote for you.

 Are We a “Nation of Cowards?” President Obama Responds

“I think it’s fair to say that if I had been advising my attorney general, we would have used different language,” Mr. Obama said in a mild rebuke from America’s first black president to its first black attorney general.
In an interview with The New York Times on Friday, the president said that despite Mr. Holder’s choice of words, he had a point.
“We’re oftentimes uncomfortable with talking about race until there’s some sort of racial flare-up or conflict,” he said, adding, “We could probably be more constructive in facing up to sort of the painful legacy of slavery and Jim Crow and discrimination.”
Mr. Holder made his comments last month during an address to employees at the Justice Department, saying that “though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial, we have always been and we, I believe, continue to be in too many ways essentially a nation of cowards.”
His remarks ignited protest, particularly from conservatives. One post, by Stephan Tawney on the American Pundit blog, said that “our attorney general is black, both major parties are led by black men, the president is black.”
“And yet,” Mr. Tawney wrote, “we’re apparently a ‘nation of cowards’ on race.”
Mr. Obama was asked whether he agreed with Mr. Holder. He hesitated for five seconds before responding.
“I’m not somebody who believes that constantly talking about race somehow solves racial tensions,” Mr. Obama said. “I think what solves racial tensions is fixing the economy, putting people to work, making sure that people have health care, ensuring that every kid is learning out there. I think if we do that, then we’ll probably have more fruitful conversations.”

WASHINGTON – Eric Holder, the nation’s first black attorney general, said Wednesday the United States was “a nation of cowards” on matters of race, with most Americans avoiding candid discussions of racial issues. In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.
“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards,” Holder said.
Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion, but “we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race.”
Holder’s speech echoed President Barack Obama‘s landmark address last year on race relations during the hotly contested Democratic primaries, when the then-candidate urged the nation to break “a racial stalemate we’ve been stuck in for years” and bemoaned the “chasm of misunderstanding that exists between the races.” Obama delivered the speech to try to distance himself from the angry rhetoric of his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Holder cited that speech by Obama as part of the motivation for his words Wednesday,
saying Americans need to overcome an ingrained inhibition against talking about race.
“If we’re going to ever make progress, we’re going to have to have the guts, we have to have the determination, to be honest with each other. It also means we have to be able to accept criticism where that is justified,” Holder told reporters after the speech.
In the speech, Holder urged people of all races to use Black History Month as a chance for honest discussion of racial matters, including issues of health care, education and economic disparities.
Race, Holder said, “is an issue we have never been at ease with and, given our nation’s history, this is in some ways understandable… If we are to make progress in this area, we must feel comfortable enough with one another and tolerant enough of each other to have frank conversations about the racial matters that continue to divide us.”
In a country founded by slave owners, race has bedeviled the nation throughout its history, with blacks denied the right to vote just a few decades ago. Obama’s triumph last November as well as the nomination of Holder stand as historic achievements of two black Americans.
Holder told hundreds of Justice Department employees gathered for the event that they have a special responsibility to advance racial understanding.
Even when people mix at the workplace or afterwork social events, Holder argued, many Americans in their free time are still segregated inside what he called “race-protected cocoons.”
“Saturdays and Sundays, America in the year 2009 does not in some ways differ significantly from the country that existed almost 50 years ago. This is truly sad,” said Holder.
Matt Miller, a spokesman for Holder, said later the attorney general used “provocative words to be clear that Americans of all races should stop avoiding the difficult issues of race.”
Andrew Grant-Thomas, Deputy Director of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at Ohio State University, praised Holder’s general message but said the wording of the speech may alienate some.
“He’s right on the substance, but that’s probably not the most politic way of saying it. I’m certain there are people who will hear him and say, ‘That’s obnoxious,'” he said, adding that what was missing from Holder’s speech were specific examples of what painful subjects need to be addressed.
Hilary Shelton, vice president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, called the speech “constructively provocative.”
“Nobody wants to be considered a coward. We’ve learned to get along by exclusion and silence. We need to talk about it. People need to feel comfortable saying the wrong things,” said Shelton.
Holder is headed to Guantanamo Bay early next week to inspect the terrorist detention facility there. Obama has assigned Holder to lead a special task force aimed at closing the site within a year.
Holder’s Justice Department will have to decide which suspects to bring to U.S. courts for trial, which to prosecute through the military justice system, and which to send back to their home countries.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Attorney General Holder is stating the truth.
America is a nation of cowards where the issue of race is concerned. Every race in this country has cowards in it that are too scared to confront the much-needed discussion of race:
-Whites, millions of whom are too gutless to speak up to each other about the continuing plague of racism in this country—-racism started by Whites;
-Blacks, too fearful of what Whites will think, when a Black person in the midst of mixed-company, speaks truthfully about the continuing legacy of white race hatred—the after effects of which can still be seen in housing, education, and the criminal (in)justice system;
-Asians, kissing ass,  who are so happy that Whites keep much of the heat off them, and direct it to Blacks;
-Latinos, many of whom want to be white so bad, they are murdering innocent Black citizens in cities in America (Who needs a KKK to attack and destroy Blacks, when you have racist, self-hating Latinos who will kiss the White man and woman’s ass and do the dirty work of racists?), with ethnic cleansing against Black citizens by Latinos;
-Native Americans, kissing ass, like the Cherokee, who ape the white’s racist behaviour and mistreat the Black Cherokee Freedmen/Women of their nation as fodder to be kicked out of the Cherokee Nation——once some federal government money makes its way to the tribe.
Yes…..
…..every race in this country has some answering to do.
“Saturdays and Sundays, America in the year 2009 does not in some ways differ significantly from the country that existed almost 50 years ago. This is truly sad,” said Holder.”
Right you are, Atty Gen. Holder.
It is in the last two frontiers that true race relations will happen:  (a) White people fight to bring down racist white supremacy;  (b) only, and only, when white racist supremacy is annihilated 100% and a system of justice and right is brought about. Only then, can true equality occur between Black women and White men, Black men and White women, and Black people and men and women of other races in the fight for justice and the right for all human beings to be treated humanely and justly.
Until then, a real dialogue on race, and Americans owning up to this country’s history of virulent racism, the legacy of which still is with us, until then—–America will never be the great country it can be. America will continue to be the Great Hypocritical Whore of Babylon that she is.
And, yes, Atty. Gen. Holder.
You continue to speak the truth.
Always the cowards of the world will run from the truth.
So many of them would rather hear a sweetened-up lie, instead of the truth they know, and understand, and face up to, that will set them (and this country), free.
    I agree with Eric Holder on this as well. If we can start talking about the real issues instead of reacting to every stereotype once it happens, we could really make a huge difference in this nation.
    I am tired of the blanket race statements about Blacks. I hope that we can start to pull back to layers so we can research the underlying issues and start to make policy changes that really make a difference in the Black community.
    are you kidding me this must be a joke. How dare you insult the Hispanic community. You are in no right to place judgment on anyone that isn’t yourself. Hispanics beating on Blacks, let me give some insight because obliviously have haven’t read the news. A Colombian man had got beaten up by a group of Afro Americans so bad that he was unrecognizable. Two Ecuadorians were beaten, resulting in the death of one by group of African American. Every ethnicity is guilty of racism not one specific race you be pointed at and blamed. By you saying things like this does not in any way make you seem like your stating the truth, in fact you look like an ignorant just as much as the people you are calling out . You look worse everyone you just describe, and it’s statements like this for why world continues the promotion of discrimination. In the Latino community their is an enormous amount of dark skinned people.
      Go back and read my post. There are Latinos who commit ethnic cleansing hate crimes against Black Americans, therefore, it is no joke.
      I insult those who are guilty, and not doing anything to combat racism is just as wrong as committing the actual crime itself.
      Yes, POC do beat up and attack each other.
      Racism and self-hate has done that to millions of non-whites.
      No, I do not bite my tongue when stating the truth of all races in this country: White, Latino, Asian, Native American—-and even Black Americans.
      So, no, I am stating the truth.
      As for discrimination……
      ….happens.
      So many POC of color have out-whited the White man when it comes to racism, bigotry, and stereotypes against each other. Don’t need the white man and woman to attack POC, when so many of POC are doing a damn good job of going at each other.
      As for your comments about Blacks beating up Latinos, this is not news to me. They are just as wrong as the Latinos who shot little Black boys in the head; they are no better than the Latinos who shot little Black girl babies in the chest.
      I tell the truth on everyone—-whether they like it or not.
      As for your comment about Latinos being dark-skinned…your point is what?
      I am already knowledgeable about black-skinned Latinos.
      They get much of that dark look (along with the Native First Peoples’ blood) from the African blood that flows in their veins: Cubans, Dominicans, Ecuadorians, Columbians, etc.
      Many non-blacks have bought into White Supremacy and worship it.
      The truth is still the truth.
    You are just as guilty as any other racist promoting discrimination. An ignorant is what you are, just like any other person who thinks that they speak the truth when expressing there .devious thoughts.
    ‘ There are Latinos who commit ethnic cleansing hate crimes against Black Americans”…really?, Hispanics are not necessary to cleanse ethnic groups, that is why groups like the KKK conspire violence. Their are dark skinned Hispanics, and I don’t see how they could aspire to be white these are the following reasons: Hispanics have a curvaceous physic, beautiful faces( round almond y eyes), their rhythmical beat of the tambourine, their erotic way of dance movements all of which WHITE DO NOT AND WILL NEVER HAVE! I am Hispanic, the blood runs through my veins like water runs through a delta. I grown up learning my Spanish heritage, an I have never been thought to hate any other culture or race. I am 100% sure you have never grown up with in a Spanish orientated household because you wouldn’t say the thing you are saying now. I proud and I will not allow a stranger insult my ethnicity. Their are certain amounts of people in every race who are racist. It’s unfortunate but by writing post like these ( according to you your not biting you tongue hahahahahahahaha
    ) is not going to get anyone in a right mind to stop racist behavior. I dare you to say what you think about all these races in front of them and I grantee you will crumble. And if you encounter a racist black, Hispanic, White, Asian call them out on it instead of writing it here.
    “There are Latinos who commit ethnic cleansing hate crimes against Black Americans”…really?, Hispanics are not necessary to cleanse ethnic groups, that is why groups like the KKK conspire violence.”
    As I stated, there are Latinos committing ethnic cleansing crimes against Black Americans, and that many Americans know nothing of these crimes (or do not care to know of these crimes), does not make them untrue:
    https://kathmanduk2.wordpress.com/2008/08/22/of-race-scabs-ass-kissers-of-whiteness-and-when-will-black-people-see-the-writing-on-the-wall/#comments
    “I dare you to say what you think about all these races in front of them and I grantee you will crumble. And if you encounter a racist black, Hispanic, White, Asian call them out on it instead of writing it here.”
    I have.
    And often I am the only Black person who has dared utter the truth to them (Asians, Latinos, Blacks, Whites, etc.) to their faces, about how many non-blacks have allowed themselves to be pitted against Black Americans. At least I am often the only Black person in the room who speaks up and challenges the myopia that is found in all races.
    I state the truth.
    Over a century ago, it was Greeks, Armenians, Italians, etc., pitted against Black Americans.
    Now it is Latinos and Asians.
    Whites will never run out of upholders of whiteness, no matter what race they find their accomplices in.
  5. Dominique Encarnacion
    ” I state the truth” NO you state your hatred. When I read things like this I can’t help but laugh. Are you that uneducated about currents events, that you don’t acknowledge that a lot of blacks kill blacks, white kill blacks? Whats worse and Hispanic killing a black or a black killing a black ( their own race)? I’m not trying to justify anybody killing anyone because it’s just plain wrong. I don’t know what your trying to get out of these illiterate way of thinking but your coming out as an racist. Instead of proposing unity your fighting against it. You must really envy Latino/a’s, but it’s fine you’ll find your mold. Every ethnicity as people who are guilty of crimes. It seems like most of your attention and ignorance is directed to Hispanic, but before you speak out inform yourself. I appreciate blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Europeans, blue, purple everyone, in fact that is one of the things I love about myself, my diversity. You need to stop focusing your attention so much on Hispanics; on the negative handful of people in the Spanish community that commit hate crimes. Get ready because statistics say that in the year 2020 Hispanics will be the majority.
  6. Yanira
    hey, well your post is so untruthful i agree with Dominique’s comments because it seems as if you are mad at Hispanics because of the way you speak about us. I believe that you are not the only bla,ck how speaks up, so don’t feel special there are many and don’t only judge one race judge all. when it comes to judging other ethnicity you have to look at the big picture and see what the other races are doing wrong therefore they are being known as racists. The incident in where you have spoken about Hispanics shooting little boys and girls I want to see send me the link. And you might speak the truth but its only in your little world. I have been researching racism towards Hispanics and i can tell you that they have killed innocent Hispanics that don’t do anything to provoke get beat. Like the incident that Dominique told you about of the two Ecuadorians, the second Ecuadorean was killed by a black male who hit the Ecuadorean man repeatedly with a bat and the man die shortly after. This was a racist attack, and as you said that you speak the truth well I do to. So close your mouth and do some more research.
  7. yanira
    -Latinos, many of whom want to be white so bad, they are murdering innocent Black citizens in cities in America (Who needs a KKK to attack and destroy Blacks, when you have racist, self-hating Latinos who will kiss the White man and woman’s ass and do the dirty work of racists?), with ethnic cleansing against Black citizens by Latinos;
    Yea well us Hispanics may kiss ass but its to get what we want and we get on “White People” to reach our goals. Tell me, give me two examples of Hispanics killing “Innocent Black Citizens”. HOW DARE YOU, you think nthat blacks dont kiss ass either? u think that asians dont kiss ass either i bet even you kiss ass!.
    • Ann
      “Tell me, give me two examples of Hispanics killing “Innocent Black Citizens”.
      I already have. . . more than two examples.
      Go back and read my comment dated March 17, 2009, @5:37PM. And please, take the time to read the links I have posted in that essay. I do not include links to back up what I say just to pass the time in idleness.
      ‘you think nthat blacks dont kiss ass either? u think that asians dont kiss ass either i bet even you kiss ass!.”
      Yes, we all kiss ass. . . .
      . . . .only some of us kiss ass more than others.
  8. Yanira
    Well if we all kiss ass why would you just point out Hispanics? And well I seriously don’t feel like going through all the links my thoughts over my heritage is enough to know that blacks discriminate Hispanics provoking them to go against them..
