MISSION STATEMENT:
“The World Natural Hair, Health & Beauty Show was founded in 1997 by Taliah Waajid and Bob Johnson. The show created a much needed arena for professionals and consumers to come together to learn and exchange information about natural hair care, health and beauty products and techniques. The show is a forum for stylist and spectators nationally and internationally to show off their creativity and many styles of natural hair. It is also a forum for consumers
to come and learn how to comb, style and maintain natural hair for themselves and/or their children. The show offers workshops and entertainment and a beautiful cultural vibe that is out of this world!
The World Natural Hair Health & Beauty Show brings together the best in the industry of natural hair and skin care to provide education and training for cosmetologist and barbers as well as free informational workshops for consumers.
As a bonus to the event, Taliah Waajid offers her signature all inclusive, hands-on natural hair, braiding and weaving seminar at the event.
Other aspects of the show include the top competitions for natural hair, braiding, barbering and weaving and a world class natural hair fashion show that keep you wanting to see more.
World Natural Hair Health & Beauty Show uses a holistic health approach in creating a unique atmosphere for our show audience. Health conscious people walking into the natural hair exhibit hall will immediately feel at home. The aroma
of natural oils burning, the lively afro centric colors, an array of information on wellness, and the beautiful people who attend are reason enough to want to be at the show. At the event you will witness people wearing their latest natural
hair styles, lock styles, hair cuts, braid designs, and color combinations. Within our show audience you will witness a complete fashion statement of what the event is all about.
Our national and international exhibitors also help make our show unique. They range from small, medium and large businesses. They bring with them creative art, beautiful crafts (sometimes handmade), fashion, hair, jewelry, natural vitamins and herbs and skin care products.
The music entertainment is a smooth mix of poets, neo soul artist and fashion that is extraordinary. Eryka Badu,
Andre 3000, India Ire, Regina Bell, The Brat, Donnie, Georgia Me, are just a few of the celebrities that have
attended our show.
Da Poet’s Corner is a collaboration of spoken word artist nationally. We welcome international poets to grace our
stage as well. Da Poet’s Corner is a mix of lively music, art and passion delivered to you from the best spoken word
artist nationally.
