“Hmm… a 14 year old that was missing from Chicago was found today after being missing for more than a month (hint hint – see previous post). She was then taken to the hospital for an examination (indicating that she was not okay).

Now this guy is arrested for contributing to the delinquency of minor and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. It’s not rocket science to know that this girl who the media forgot about for more than a month…was being abused. And some people have the nerve to say the media attention doesn’t really help…what would have happened if she was never mentioned in the news?

A South Side man is behind bars in the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl who had been missing for more than a month.

The girl is now back with her family.

Charles Strong, 19 of the 6500 block of South Oakley is charged with harboring a runaway, contributing to the delinquency of minor and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

On Wednesday, officers acted on a tip they received concerning the whereabouts of the girl, leading them to Strong at his home. He was arrested at about 5:15 p.m.

The girl had gone missing from the 2600 block of South Martin Luther King Drive Nov. 7, according to an alert from Wentworth Area detectives.

She was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for evaluation after she was located, according to police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

Other circumstances of the girl’s disappearance were not known Wednesday night. Wentworth Area detectives are still investigating”.
