On November 5, 2009, at approximately 1:30 pm Central Time, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S. Army psychiatrist, opened fire on and killed 13 people, and wounded 30 others, at Fort Hood, located outside Killeen, Texas. Let us all keep the families who lost loved ones in this attack, in our thoughts.

May the families who are suffering from this tragedy find peace and comfort from the prayers and condolences of us who remember them in their hour of need. May the injured recover from their wounds, both physical, and psychological. May the town of Killeen, TX, a town which has seen more than its share of sorrow, bear up under this most trying time.

To the fallen women and men whose lives were cut short, rest in peace.

Rest in peace.
