ok, see,
now first let me say that i really do not like beyonce–but i love the music and words to this song. It is very thought provoking–which is deeper than her shallowness.
AND I KNOW she did not drip one drop from her little ounce of creativity into it–it’s too far above her abilities!
thanks, i probably would not have watched it otherwise.
Yes, I know how you feel. I am not a Beyonce fan either, but, the soulful pouring out of the heart that the “woman” in the song is singing (since she knows what it is like to be a woman, and if tomorrow she were to become a man, she would have more understanding and empathy, with women), resounds with me so much.
Yes, Wisdom, I agree. I wish someone else had sung it.
I’m kinda leaning towards Mary J. Blige (because she has had a very rough life, and I am so happy to see her excel and soar). But, Mary would probably have to tone it down just a little. (Not the song, just her approach to it.)
Or my best suggestion—–Joan Armatrading.
Yep. She would be the best one to sing this lovely song.
why is this page empty?
Fixed it.

i understand what you mean ann.
very thought provoking as i said i wonder who wrote this for her?
or wrote it and she bought it. it sounds very folksy–not her style at all.
i wonder how it would sound coming from a different singer?
